Born and raised in the North Wales countryside, Opus has an atypical story for somebody making waves in the UK dubstep scene.
Opus began studying classical music from the age of 7, playing first the violin and then the viola. Excelling in the early stages of his musical development, he went on to study at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, graduating in 2018.
Releases on some of the most influential labels in the UK dubstep scene have cemented Opus’s reputation as one of the most forward-thinking artists of the new wave, with EPs on White Peach Records, Crucial Recordings and Chestplate.
